Presenting our Goddess Spotlight for the month, Heather!

What inspires you?

I think I’m most inspired by people who have the courage to be themselves. We live in a world that pressures us to fit a mold and when someone can just confidently exist in their own skin I think it’s truly moving.

What brought you to RGF?

I started my pole journey in 2023 at a studio in Champaign/Urbana ( Defy Gravity) and when I moved here to the suburbs last October I knew I had a hole to fill. When I first stepped into RGF it felt like home!

What do you enjoy doing outside of the studio?

Since the unveiling of the unlimited pass I feel like I’m pretty much at the studio constantly 🤣

More seriously though- I’m a psychologist by trade and love that my work allows me to encourage and support others. I enjoy walks and snuggles with my dog Sigmund (Siggy), baking (macarons are my specialty), and dabble in sports and portrait photography. Outside of that I’m a sucker for a themed event, adore Halloween and will take any excuse to try something new or find a random adventure to engage in.

What is your favorite thing about pole/aerial

Since arriving at RGF I have expanded my interest from pole to just about everything 😆
I think what I love the most is that pole and aerial are a blend of strength and expression. Great exercise, a mental challenge, and an opportunity to indulge the dramatics of my inner theatre kid!
I also recently realized that there is great nostalgia in pole dancing for me. It takes me back to recording dance routines with my cousin and sister, and I feel like I’m in a music video. Now it’s just a bit more vertical and a little bit more suggestive 😉
