Presenting the Goddess Spotlight for November… Audrey!

What inspires you?

Watching my husband, kids, and friends challenge themselves and accomplish their goals inspires me to challenge and improve as well. I feel my best after spending time with others, and I’m lucky to have the most supportive friends. We celebrate each other’s successes and are also there for each other when things get tough. I know that I can’t fully give to the important people in my life unless I’m in a good place myself. So, I’ve really focused on becoming a healthier and happier version of myself over the past couple of years, and I couldn’t have done that without those around me and RGF!

What brought you to RGF?
Many things brought me to RGF. I spent 15 years in Colorado, and not having a solid winter activity in Chicago was really getting to me. So, I signed up for aerial hammock foundations last March. When I was younger, I did dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading; however, I haven’t had a creative or artistic activity just for myself in a long time. RGF classes make me feel like a kid again!

What do you enjoy doing outside of the studio?

When I’m not working, I love being outside, chasing my two boys (age 2 and 4), enjoying live music, and trying out all the amazing restaurants Chicago has to offer.

What is your favorite thing about pole/aerial?
I can’t pick just one! Aerial has impacted my physical and mental health in such a positive way, and I never could have expected this when I first signed up 8 months ago. I love coming to such a welcoming studio; the support and mindset across the teachers and community at RGF are contagious. Coming to RGF is a highlight of my week, and aerial has taught me so much about myself and life in general. It reminds me how to have fun, put my to-do list and career aside for an hour, and let go of perfectionism. 😊
