Presenting the Goddess Spotlight for May… Grace! 💖

What inspires you?

My grandmother was my hero and I’m inspired by her every day. She had polio at age 6 and was paralyzed from the waist down but that didn’t stop her from competing in the paralympics twice and receiving 5 medals, being nominated into the National Wheelchair Basketball hall of fame, and coaching other athletes all while being an A+ grandma.

What brought you to RGF?

I started aerial back in Missouri and found Rising Goddess about a year ago after I moved back to Illinois. I was living out in Elgin at the time and drove 50ish minutes to Rising Goddess each way but I loved it too much to give it up.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the studio?

Outside of the studio I’m a grad student studying data science and analytics. I also love art (mostly pen and marker) and video games!

What is your favorite thing about pole/aerial?

I love when I feel sore the day after class and realize I’m exercising and loving every second. Other activities like running or lifting never stuck with me but I’ll do pull ups on a hoop any day!
