What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
When I am not teaching my students, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In the summer, we like to go to White Sox games, listen to live music, and enjoy each other’s company.
What brought you to RGF?
My friend, Christina, had her bachelorette party at RGF. When she brought up the idea of taking an aerial hammock class, we all thought she was crazy and that we would hurt ourselves in some way. However, we had Natalie as our instructor and we absolutely loved it. Christina and I eventually came back and tried out as many classes as we could at RGF. During that time of exploration, I found out that I really love aerial hammocks and pole.
What is your favorite song to dance to?
My favorite song to dance to in general is “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston because it reminds me of my childhood. However, in class, I really like it when my instructors put on any song from the ’90’s. It just puts me in a happy mood and I just want to dance!
What is your favorite thing about pole/aerial dance?
I have never really been the workout type. I really despise going to the gym. When I was a kid, I took many dance lessons and as an adult, I really missed going to a studio to dance. When I come to RGF, I am really happy because I don’t feel like I am working out during my pole/aerial hammock classes and it has helped me fill the void that I have been missing for many years.
