Presenting Our Goddess Spotlight of the Month… Tracy!

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by those around me at the studio.  It’s inspiring watching the instructors and those in higher levels.  I enjoy seeing what can be learned.  I’m also inspired by watching other’s growth.  It’s amazing to see how others I started with have grown and how they’ve used their experiences at the studio to change their lives.  This has enabled me to see the possibility of change in myself.  The whole positive atmosphere of the studio is amazing.

What brought you to RGF?

For about a year, my friend Jen had been talking about a place where she learned to pole dance and was now teaching as well.  She kept suggesting I try it, but I was hesitant.  The summer of 2023, we had gone to see Pink in concert and a couple months later, the studio had an aerial hammock Pink pop-up party.  Jen suggest I’d try hammock and she signed up to take the class with me.  I absolutely loved it.  From there I took hammock foundations and a few months later, I started lyra and pole as well.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the studio?

Honestly, prior to taking classes at RGF, I worked a lot and would spend days off either napping or when it was nice outside, reading.  I love reading outside on a nice sunny day.  RGF has kind of brought life back into me.  It is great to have something to look forward to when I’m not at work.

What is your favorite thing about pole/aerial?

I love that it’s a way to be active and enjoyable at the same time.  I love learning new things and that feeling of accomplishment when that move you’ve been working on finally clicks.  My favorite thing about RGF is how the positive energy and confidence members exude is contagious.  We all have self doubts and can be self conscious, but everyone here is so positive and supportive of each other that as time passes, your mindset starts to change.
